Socrates is a Director in PwC’s Cyprus Capital Markets Group, a team which is involved in debt and equity capital markets transactions involving Cypriot issuers, with a particular focus on cross-border transactions using Cyprus as the listing jurisdiction. Socrates has been involved in most recent Russian IPOs into the London Stock Exchange which have used Cyprus as the listing jurisdiction. Socrates has just completed a 1-year secondment at the Capital Markets Group of PwC Moscow, where he was involved in several debt and equity transactions. Prior to joining PwC Cyprus in 2003, Socrates worked for 3 years at the Investment Banking Division of UBS in London and is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
